sick in taiwan

argh. i am so sick. i have never been so sick! and who is to blame? those awful children, that's who. unless i dengue fever, which is unlikely because today (yesterday is a different story) i don't feel like i'm going to die. i think i have a very nasty flu, for the first time in years.

yesterday night i woke up shivering like a schizophrenic. even though my entire body, with the exception of my feet, was warm, iniside i felt like ice. i finally gave up with the shivering and hobbled over to the shower to keep warm. luckily there is hot water here, because if there wasn't i think i'd have died right there.

to summarize, tylenol PM has been good to me, since it kills the muscle pain that has been driving me crazy, and knocks me out so that i don't have to deal with it. i spent the entire day yesterday flopping from one side to the other in bed and blowing my nose, all in a sleeping daze. it sucks. today is much better, meaning im sitting with my head positioned vertically as i write this. hopefully by then end of today, which i plan to spend sleeping and reading in bed, i'll be feeling a little better.

in any case, my advice to those who plan to teach children: disinfect EVERYTHING, including yourself. they are little breeding grounds for germs and nasty bugs.
